Lambda Photometrics is one of the UK’s leading distributors of Lasers, Optics, Fibre Optics, Electronic Instrumentation, Surface Metrology and Machine Vision products. We are the UK & Ireland representative for over 40 world-class manufacturers of products that represent the cutting edge of technology & innovation.

How long has Lambda Photometrics been established?
Founded in 1977 by Bob Carless, we have over 30 years’ experience of working with customers within the scientific, industrial, military and medical sectors. Since 1993 we have been part of the Polytec organisation.

What can Lambda Photometrics offer me?
In a word: experience. All of our Product Specialists are qualified scientists or engineers with a wealth of experience across a wide range of relevant disciplines. Whether you are based in academia or industry, we will work closely with you to determine the best solution for your needs. Together with our Service Department we will provide you with the highest levels of service and support.

What does Lambda Photometrics mean?
Our vast range of products are all connected by the fact that they use light or optical technology in some way. Our company name reflects this; Lambda (λ) being the symbol representing wavelength and Photometrics meaning "measurement with light".
