26 March 2008

The New Fan-Cooled 500W thermopile detector from Gentec

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 500W detector with innovative fan-cooling module from Gentec-Electro Optics. The detector will be ideal for production environments and field based service technicians when water cooling is not easily available. The new UP55G-500F-H12 is equipped with Gentec-EO’s legendary absorber which offers the highest damage thresholds in the industry.

The benefits of this detector are:

  • No water cooling is necessary;
  • • 500 W of continuous power;
  • Thermopile based with wide spectral range (0.19-11um)
  • A low noise level (Noise Equivalent Power level: 15mW);
  • Excellent measurement accuracy (calibration uncertainty: +/- 2.5%)
  • High damage threshold absorber (Max Average Power density: 8kW/cm2 @ 100 W, CW)
  • Large Aperture (55mm Ř)
  • Compact housing (120mm (H) x 120mm (W) x 135mm (D))
  • Availability of both imperial (1/4-20) and metric (4xM4) mounting holes
