The New TUNER Power Monitor from Gentec Electro-Optics

We are pleased to announce the arrival of the NEW TUNER Power Meter compatible with all thermopile detectors. The TUNER offers a large LCD display (77 x 58mm), an Ultrafast tuning needle (<1 second response time) 10 times faster than any other monitor on the market and very low power consumption (300 hours with 4 AA batteries).

New Tuner Power Monitor

The monitor has a simple navigation that gives direct access to a number of unique functions (outlined below) using the keys on the front panel. The screen is split in two; the upper part is a standard numerical display, the lower part a very fast and accurate digital tuning needle.

Display Modes and Special Functions:

  • High/Low feature: The Minimum and Maximum readings are marked with a blinking needle and the values reported on the numerical display. This mode is very helpful when tuning the laser to its maximum over a long period.

  • Tail Needle: The tail mode follows the movement of the needle. The faster the movement of the needle, the wider the tail. This mode gives a good indication of the speed the power is changing.

  • Bar Graph: This display mode fills the tuning display with needle bars up to the active needle, which is much easier to read at a distance.
