UV Sterilization With Pulsed Light That Penetrates For Purity

11 August 2009

Xenon Corporation have used their Pulsed UV Flashlamps systems to reduce the use of chemicals in food (beverage) processing.

Beverages need to be bottled with sanitary assurances. Currently, many processes use chemicals, which play a large role in the process. Xenon Corporation have found a way to use pulsed UV light in the in-line sanitization process of bottle caps. In several large bottling plants in the USA, (including a major producer of orange juice) UV light has now replaced chemicals such as peroxide.

Xenon Corporation is exclusively distributed in the UK by Lambda Photometrics Ltd.
