High Power Measurements in a FLASH

With a response time of 4 times less than the competition, the Gentec model FLASH-500 Handheld Laser Probe, shipping in early 2010 and capable of measuring up to 500W of Average Power, will offer you the ability to carry out more measurements in less time.

The 5-6 seconds required for a single measurement results in a short cooling time, so readings can be taken in quick succession. The Flash also comes with an automated hands-free operation capability.

  • Wide range of operation: With a low noise level (0.1W) you can accurately measure down to 2W, so the FLASH-500 is all you need for low and mid-power lasers;
  • Large Aperture: The 55mm diameter sensor will enable you to measure both small or unfocussed larger beams, giving you more flexibility;
  • Calibration options: Not only can you have the FLASH calibrated for YAG and CO2 wavelengths, you can also calibrate the unit at ANY chosen wavelength. You can also have up to 3 calibrations stored in the internal memory;
  • Precise: with a NIST traceable calibration of
    +/-3%, the FLASH-500 is the most accurate handheld power meter on the market;
  • Ease of operation: The FLASH uses two buttons with clearly identified primary and secondary functions eliminating the need to check the manual often. It also comes with a backlight and 2 LED indicators (Green and Red) to indicate the status of the meter (Ready and Hot respectively);
