Optical Metrology
Lambda Photometrics offer a wide range of Optical Metrology Instruments including Shack-Hartmann wavefront aberrometers, White-light Phase Shifting Interferometers and Fizeau interferometers. These instruments are utilised in range of applications, including UV-VIS-IR optics testing, Contact Lens and Intra-Ocular Lens testing and Micro-optics testing.
Wavefront Sciences CLAS-2D Aberrometer
The CLAS-2D is a complete light analysis system (hence the name), which can be considered as a replacement for intereferometers in optical testing applications. CLAS-2D simultaneously measures the phase and intesity of the transmitted or reflected white light or laser light, to provide wavefront aberration coefficients. The flexibility of the system ensures it can measure flats, spheres, concave/convex mirrors & lenses, and negative and positive lenses. Two sensors are available to cover either UV-VIS or IR wavelengths. High performance optoins are available for even greater sensitivity.

Wavefront Sciences ClearWave Contact Lens Aberrometer
The ClearWave Contact Lens Aberrometer provides superior metrology of contact lenses. Vision correction optics must be produced in large quantities to be economical. At the same time, every human eye is unique and requires a custom corrective solution. The vision industry needs fast, versatile, and accurate methods to characterize optics for production and research. Now, with ClearWave contact lens manufacturers can perform fast and accurate screening of all contact lens types. Quality control screening is faster and has higher resolution than ever before.

Wavefront Sciences CrystalWave IOL Aberrometer
The CrystalWave Aberrometer provides superior metrology for Intra-Ocular Lenses. Because of the in vivo nature of the technique, IOL’s must be subject to intensive, individual inspection before implantation. CrystalWave provides the ability to thoroughly inspect the optical characteristics of IOL’s while simultaneously increasing product throughput. Previous methods for measuring and inspecting these devices required highly trained technicians to manually evaluate each lens. With CrystalWave, the IOL can be measured and evaluated quantitatively and consistently at high production rates.
