Measurement Systems
SpectraRad Xpress |
SpectraRad Xpress is a miniature portable spectral irradiance meter which has been designed for field, industrial and laboratory applications. It features a transmissive cosine corrector coupled to a spectrometer and is calibrated against a NIST traceable Tungsten light source. The SpectraRad Xpress is powered via USB and is ideal for lamp and LED characterisation (requires CIE127 adaptor for LED’s), colour analysis, solar studies, Photostability testing, photochemistry and photobiology. Optimized BWSpec software is provided as standard. |
Specifications:
- Spectral Range 380-750nm or 350-1050nm
- Resolution ~4.0nm
- Transmissive cosine corrector
- NIST Traceable calibration
- Wavelength Accuracy better than 0.3nm
- Irradiance range 30nW/cm2/nm-600µW/cm2/nm (for 350-1050 version) or 200nW/cm2/nm-400µW/cm2/nm (for 380-750nm version)
Software
|
|
BWSpec spectral acquisition software is included with the SpectraRad Xpress as standard and delivers a wide range of features designed to perform complex measurements and calculations at the click of a button. It allows you to save data in different formats and gives you full control of the measurement by allowing you to optimise scanning parameters such as integration time, and time averaging. In addition to data acquisition and data handling BWSpec is capable of data smoothing, automatic dark removal, manual/auto baseline correction, peak analysis, colour temperature and chromaticity plots (see image above). You can also use an external trigger to capture light pulses. Measurements can obtain a plot of absolute irradiance against wavelength or wave number (see top left image) and you can overlay up to 16 sets data for analysis/comparison. For colour measurement you get a bar chart of irradiance vs. user defined wavelength intervals (see image on top right), and you can choose to view the Radiometric, Photopic or Scotopic irradiance. Colour data can be easily extracted to Excel or .txt files for further analysis at the click of a button.
