Phlox


Phlox design and manufacture the most uniform back lights on the market. Using their patent pending technology, their ultra slim backlights are only 8.5mm thick and available in a large range of sizes.

The standard PHLOX backlight is a black anodised aluminium body including the PHLOX light guide, and also :

  • 2 light sources (double light injection technique), or
  • 4 light sources (quadruple light injection technique), featuring the latest generation of surface mount, super powerful light emitting diodes.
The groundbreaking PHLOX technology sets apart from the others:

    Schott

    Schott engineers have patent-pending LED technology that's a step ahead of the industry. The result is a line of ringlights, backlights and spotlights that offers bright, uniform illumination.When used along the smart controllers, they offer highly controllable lighting solutions.

    The iQLED lightheads can be used in steady-state mode as a general-purpose area light, or in strobe mode to freeze motion, reduce exposure times and increase processing speed.

    The iQ421 is Schott’s top of the range LED controller.Features include:
    • Normal mode - allows continuous dimming of light intensity between 0 and 100 %.
    • Maintain mode - a light feedback loop to maintain intensity +/- 2% over operation of the LED head.
    • Trigger mode - with programmable delay to synchronize the unit with an external signal to extend LED lifetime and provide light only when needed.
    • Internal strobe generator - frequencies between 15 Hz and 50 KHz to freeze motion of periodically moving objects.
    iQ121 LED Controller

    A variable intensity controller with temperature control. The single-knob light intensity control adjusts from 0 to 100 %. A remote on/off function can extend LED lifetime and provide light only when needed during part inspection.

    The VisiLED range has been specially developed for the fields of stereo microscopy and macroscopy. The excellent electronic controllability of the LEDs allows contrasting methods that go far beyond the possibilities provided by conventional microscope illumination. Various models are available including brightfield and darkfield.
