  • PDL meter (PL2000) can measure polarisation dependent loss (PDL) and insertion loss (IL) simultaneously with the worlds fastest measurement speed typically 0.1sec)! Included is a function to measure optical power. This is a must for all fibre optic component manufacturers as PDL can introduce signal distortion resulting in system performance degradation.

    SOP Analyser (SA2000) The state of polarisation analyser, SA2000, measures various polarisation related characteristics of light such as the state of polarisation (SOP), degree of polarisation (DOP), polarisation extinction ratio (PER), the inclination angle of polarisation ellipse etc.. with high degree of accuracy. The SA2000 uses the rotating waveplate and polariser method resulting in SOP measurements without the need for wavelength calibration.

    Lightwave Equaliser (LE4000) can dynamically control the gain of an EDFA. This is essential when operating an optical network. This tool helps develop filters or amplifiers the expand the bandwidth of current commercially available amplifiers. It is also a convenient tool for vendors wishing to test the systems they currently have.

    Lightwave Polarisation Controller (PC4000 series) This is a multi channel polarisation controller. Polarisation states can be manipulated manually or through RS232/GPIB. This is ideal for DWDM/CWDM system tests in addition to R&D applications (eg PMD experiments) and manufacturing.

    Polarisation Scramblers (PS3000 series) These are all fibre polarisation scramblers which use Fiberpro's unique birefringence modulator enabling very high speed polarisation scrambling. Polarisation dependence is one of the biggest issues in fibre optic measurement PDG in EDFA and pump polarisation are typical examples. The PS 3000 has negligible PMD (typically <0.2ps) and works independent of input polarisation states.
