Luna's patented optical frequency domain reflectometer (OFDR) technology implemented in the OBR™ analyses fibre optic assemblies and components with a level of speed, accuracy and repeatability unmatched by any other fibre optic testing solution on the market today. The OBR™ 4400 functions as a Zero dead zone OTDR reflectometer and can locate events such as macro-bends, splices, air gaps, micro cracks, and other optical defects and anomalies with micrometer event resolution on devices up to 70 metres in length.
A small, easily transportable platform coupled with an intuitive interface add to the OBR™ 4400's overall utility. The instrument automatically adjusts for varying device lengths and requires no special setup or jumpers. In addition, calibration is automatic and is referenced to an internal NIST traceable HCN cell to ensure years of reliable, accurate and repeatable service. The OBR™ 4400 also supports precision length and skew measurements for cable assemblies as well as distributed temperature and strain sensing using standard optical fibres.

Precision Reflectometer (PR) 4400
The next-generation precision reflectometer, the PR™ 4400 offers industry-leading micrometer spatial resolution, zero dead zone, high speed measurements and reliability in fiber optic testing. The PR™ 4400 is housed in a compact and transportable platform with the capability to view entire fiber optic assemblies up to 2 kilometers in length with no dead zone.
