Pulse Compressors

The PCS series of Pulse Compressor instruments from Calmar Laser incorporate a uniquely designed EDFA and dispersion controlled fibre to compress short pulses into the femtosecond region. Capable of providing 250fs output pulse widths with low noise pedestal and high output power, they are ideal for applications in optical communications, optical switching, optical computing and optoelectronics research.

The integrated EDFA can also be used to provide amplification without pulse compression.

These pulse compressors are ideal companions for Calmar 10GHz or 40GHz laser sources and Bit Rate Multipliers (BRM), providing a state-of-the-art turnkey high speed communications R&D system from a single manufacturer.
