The Orion is an ultra-compact dual band fast radiometer that can be used as a stand-alone radiometer or as an add-on to slow imaging devices or spectro-radiometers for measurements of fast transients.
The instrument supports 2 spectral channels, and the user can select from the VIS, NIR, SWIR, MWIR, LWIR spectral bands at the time of ordering.
An integral boresight CCD with crosshair and FOV circle gives accurate video aiming.
16-bit data acquisition is integrated within the Orion radiometer, and the system is fully computer controlled via USB2.0.

1. This is the full spectral range. The user may use a spectral band pass filter to limit the spectral range according to needs.
2. Cooling: None= un-cooled, TEC= Thermoelectric cooling
Applications
- Field radiance measurement of small sources
- Testing IR (DC/AC) flares and jammers
- Fast event measurement (muzzle flashes, detonations, final ballistics)
Specifcations apply to all MiniRad radiometers. You may choose up to 4 channels per MiniRad to fit your needs.
