Sumitomo’s optical modulator design incorporates a Ti-diffused waveguide on a Lithium Niobate crystal, a travelling-wave type electrode and a tiny polarizer. The composition of these materials, combined with Sumitomo’s experience and technical know-how, helps to achieve superior performance: Low insertion Loss, Low Driving Voltage, Wide Optical Bandwidth, High ON/OFF Extinction Ratio.
