Baumer offers the familiar Gigabit interface in a highly developed range of cameras. The Visiline Series. The time and ingenuity invested by Baumer in the GigE interface coupled with either the Progressive Scan CMOS or SONY Ex-View HAD CCD sensors has paid dividend. The selection of sensor has simply been done where function can be maximised at its greatest.
The result is seen here, as Baumer presents a range of cameras that surpasses most in image quality, frame rate and even greater functionality than seen before.
Baumer have developed the VLG range to include IP Rated Protection (IP 65/67). The IP protected cameras provide optimum protection for applications under harsh environmental conditions (See our Technical Notes for Full outline of IP Ratings). Thanks to the water and dustproof housing, the lens and all sensitive camera parts are protected from both water spray and temporary immersion. An x-coded M12 connector ensures a reliable data interface connection.
In the VLG-40I cameras the sensor used is the CMOSIS CMV4000, 1” sensor. The camera is available in both mono and colour formats, the VLG-40MI and VLG-40CI respectively with a resolution of 4.2 Mega Pixel at achieving 29 fps in full frame.
For the mono, pixel formats are Mono 8, Mono 12 and Mono 12 Packed whereas the colour has Mono 8 with additional formats of BayerRG8; BayerRG12, both RGB8- and BGR8 Packed, and YUV411-, YUV422-, YUV444-Packed.
Meticulously designed the VisiLine Cameras are cased in an aluminium housing with dimensions of 46x46x49.8 mm, the camera weighs just 185g (220g including the tube). The camera is C-mount and benefits from IP65/IP67 certification.
Areas of application have already shown the camera to be comfortably used in robotics, medical technology, packaging and print inspection, renewable energies as well as metrics and inspections systems.
