The LUXORC Carbon Coater is a state-of-the-art, fully automated system designed to deposit a thin, uniform layer of carbon on SEM samples—effectively eliminating charging issues during EDX/EDS chemical analysis. The LUXORc is a fully automated carbon coating system engineered for high-precision sample preparation in chemical analysis applications, making it ideal for floor-model, desktop, and high-resolution FE-SEM instruments equipped with EDX/EDS detectors. Utilising a Bradley-type carbon rod evaporation source, the LUXORc deposits a uniform, ultra-thin carbon layer onto SEM samples to prevent charging - ensuring accurate, repeatable elemental analysis and superior imaging performance. Designed with lab flexibility in mind, the LUXORC is fully compatible with LUXOR sample holders, which accommodate standard pin stubs, cylindrical stubs, and resin-embedded specimens. These holders are also interchangeable with LUXORAu and LUXORPt sputter coaters - perfect for multi-system lab environments. The system is delivered complete with all required accessories and auxiliary components, and when combined with the optional vacuum pump, it becomes a fully self-contained, ready-to-use carbon coating solution.
