We are continuously exposed to a plethora of airborne particles, i.e. aerosols, such as pollen, smoke, automotive emissions, and viruses. Test aerosols play an important part in building understanding of how exposure to aerosolised nanoparticles affects our health, and in developing technologies and regulations that ensure good air quality for all.
This webinar will be an introduction on several basic aerosol processes related to the generation and transport of (nano)aerosols. The generation of nanoaerosols by spark ablation is presented in context of these processes, and several use cases in emissions, nanoparticle exposure and toxicity studies are discussed.
The aim of the webinar is to provide insight into how the VSP-G1 Nanoparticle Generator can be used to generate model aerosols on demand. While the focus lies on airborne exposure, the same processes and principles can be applied in nanomaterial manufacturing for other applications.
