The Rigol MSO9402 is a 4 GHz mixed signal oscilloscope designed for advanced debugging, high-speed digital analysis, signal integrity validation, and compliance-focused measurement workflows. Built on RIGOL’s next-generation high-performance oscilloscope platform, the MSO9402 combines ultra-fast acquisition performance, deep memory, integrated digital analysis capability, and advanced software tools in a compact benchtop instrument.
Featuring 2 analogue channels, 16 digital logic channels, and up to 20 GSa/s real-time sampling, the MSO9402 enables engineers to correlate analogue and digital activity simultaneously, accelerating root-cause analysis across embedded systems, automotive electronics, communications hardware, power electronics, and mixed-signal development applications.
Mixed-Signal Debug and Analysis
The MSO9402 combines high-bandwidth analogue analysis with integrated logic acquisition, allowing engineers to debug complex embedded and mixed-signal systems using a single instrument. Time-correlated analogue and digital capture simplifies the identification of timing issues, bus contention, signal integrity faults, and protocol-level errors.
Advanced trigger modes, including zone, runt, setup/hold, timeout, pulse-width, and protocol triggering, support rapid isolation of complex signal events. Integrated waveform maths, histogram analysis, FFT, mask testing, and segmented acquisition further extend debugging and validation capability.
Integrated serial protocol decoding supports a wide range of embedded and automotive interfaces, with optional packages available for CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, MIL-STD-1553B, SENT, I²S, SPI, UART, and additional protocol analysis applications.
Signal Integrity and Compliance Applications
Optional eye diagram and jitter analysis packages extend the MSO9402 into a powerful platform for signal integrity characterisation and compliance-oriented testing. Available software options support USB 2.0, Automotive Ethernet, 1000Base-T Ethernet, and MIPI D-PHY compliance workflows, enabling efficient validation of high-speed digital interfaces.
Connectivity and Integration
Designed for both laboratory and automated test environments, the MSO9402 supports USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN, LXI-C, SCPI remote control, HDMI display output, external trigger input, and web browser-based remote operation.
