Fizeau Interferometry has become a trusted standard for precise metrology of optical components and systems. Traditionally, these instruments were required to be installed in lab environments, where conditions were carefully controlled, to ensure high precision measurements were not compromised. However, today a growing number of applications demand easy, cost-effective solutions for the use of interferometry in environments that were previously impossible to achieve quality metrology.

DynaPhase® Dynamic Acquisition Technology
Often, optical systems must be tested in locations that simulate their end-use environment. These environments can present challenges due to factors like large vibration and air turbulence, which can negatively affect or prevent the ability to acquire reliable optical measurements. Many of these challenges are addressed with less than optimal solutions, often suffering from drawbacks and issues related to usability, speed, reliability, and precision.

DynaPhase offers the versatility and performance to address a wide range of challenging optical testing environments and applications like cryogenic and vacuum chamber testing or telescope components and tower applications with long path lengths.

Real-time measurement feedback
Optical system alignment and dynamic events can be captured interferometrically with live feedback of phase data – instantaneous DynaPhase measurements are made continuously and data maps processed and displayed at up to video speeds.

LivePhase™ acquisition provides real-time phase map and Zernike aberration feedback to actively monitor changes – quickly align an optical system while monitoring transmitted wavefront, reducing a tedious and time-consuming job to a quick fine alignment task.

Movie Mode builds on the utility of continuous instantaneous measurements by enabling dynamic measurements to be recorded and output to an AVI filetype for recording and clear communication of the effects of dynamic events like temperature change, mounting stress, optical bonding motion and more.

Instantaneous measurements timed with instantaneous events are enabled by built-in triggering functionality of the DynaFiz, shedding light on the smallest temporal events.
