The EverBeing probe tip holder is the mechanism between the micropositioner & the probe tip. As a result, the tip and tip holder will be driven at the same time by the micropositioner X-Y-Z thumb screws. The coaxial and trixial versions can be supplied straight (standard) or pre-bent, please specify at time of order.
Tubular type: Uses a copper tube to hold the probing tip and provide electrical shielding. There is an insulation layer between the tip holding tube and the shielding tube. You can choose coaxial or triaxial cables and connectors, but it is not recommended to use these with the EB-700 micropositioner. The Tubular tip holders are available in short (6cm) or Long (12cm).
Electrical options
Coaxial tip holder: Provided with a coaxial cable 1.2m long, terminated with BNC male connector (also called coaxial male). This can measure current levels down to 10 pA with good shielding. You can choose screw, spring or tubular types.
Triaxial tip holder: It comes with a triaxial cable 1.2m long terminated with triaxial male. This can measure the current level less than 100 fA with qualified shielding box. You can choose screw, spring and tubular types.
Please specify the micropositioner model number and the resolution that you need to probe your target. Choose the tip holder electrical connection - coaxial or triaxial, then choose the tip holder mechanical type- screw, spring or tubular.
