YIC Technologies EMScanner® 150KHz to 8GHz EMC/EMI Scanner
The EMScanner® from Y.I.C. Technologies consists of a patented scanner fitted a compact controller, and a PC running EMViewer software. A great tool for EMI Pre-compliance checking to visually identify EMI/EMC issues and solve these quickly using the software tools to locate the faults. The EMScanner® can be used with most leading brands of Spectrum Analysers, like Rigol Technologies, Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz and Tektronix (please call to check).
The patented scanner consists of an array of 1,218 H-field (magnetic) probes spaced every 7.5 mm which provides an effective 3.75 mm resolution. The system operates from 150 kHz to 4 GHz and from 150 kHz to 8 GHz with upgradable and optional software license key. The EMViewer application must also be installed on the customer-supplied PC.
EMScanner® is a self-contained very-near-field scanning device which connects to a spectrum analyser or a desk top PC running a copy of EMScanner Software. The EMScanner® system operates from 150 kHz to 8 GHz and delivers repeatable and reliable results that pinpoint the cause of a design failure in seconds.
With EMScanner® design teams can personally test their designs without having to rely on another department, test engineer, or time-consuming off-site testing. After diagnosing even an intermittent problem, the engineer can implement a design change and retest, and the results provide concrete verification of the effectiveness (or not) of the design change.
EMScanner® diagnostic capabilities allow design teams to reduce testing time by more than two orders of magnitude. Users have also documented fifty percent reductions in design cycle times.
Ideal PCB projects for EMScanner® are boards designed for high speed, high power, and/or high density/complexity. Any PCB that places a premium on board real-estate also qualifies as an excellent candidate. The compact, flat scanner provides PCB design teams with an easy-to-use, cost effective, and proven tabletop solution.
